Can you decide when the bingo falls?

No, and that is exactly what makes it fair. Every card is unique and gets random songs, and you play the playlist on shuffle. That way every player has exactly the same chance and nobody knows in advance who will win, not even us. What you do know is roughly when the bingos fall. You can see that above. And as the host you set the pace: how long you let a clip play and when you move on to the next song.

Can bingo fall after just a few songs?

That is very rare. With 4×4, 50 players, the chance of a full row within 4 songs is less than 1%. The first row usually falls after 13 songs. Want the first round to last longer? Let the clips play longer, or pick a bigger card.

Does the winner of round 1 have a head start in the next rounds?

A little, because that card already has one full row. Even so, someone else usually wins. With 4×4, 50 players, the card that wins round 1 also wins round 2 on 16 in 100 evenings. On the other 84, someone else wins. A random other card wins round 2 on 2 in 100 evenings. For the full card it is 6 in 100, against 3 in 100 for a random other card. Want more people to win a prize? Then agree that anyone who already has a prize cannot win again.

What if two people have bingo at the same time?

Whoever calls bingo first wins. That is the person who recognised the song fastest and ticked it off first. Mention this when you explain the rules, so it is clear to everyone. It happens more often than you think. With 4×4, 50 players, the chance that two or more players get bingo on the same song is 13% for the first row and 22% for the full card. Towards the end many cards are one song short of full, which is why it happens most often with the full card.

We want several winners per round. Is that possible?

Yes. Keep playing a round until there are enough winners, or also give a prize to the second and third bingo. With 4×4, 50 players, for one row the 3rd bingo usually falls after 18 songs and the 5th after 20. For two rows that is after 29 and 31 songs, for the full card after 42 and 43. Other ideas: a prize for the first bingo at every table, or an extra round in between, for example for the four corners or a vertical row.

How long does a music bingo take?

You decide that yourself with the length of the clips. We recommend at least 30 seconds per song, so everyone can recognise it. With 4×4 and a clip of 30 seconds, the whole game with all 48 songs takes ± 45 min. The full card usually comes after 39 songs, but play the whole playlist.

Which bingo card suits our group?

4×4 (48 songs) is the standard and suits almost any group, even hundreds of players. 5×5 (75 songs) is for a longer evening. The rounds take longer, even with a large group.

We have more cards than players. Does that matter?

No. Only the cards that are actually in play count. Choose the number of players above, not the number of cards you had made. Cards that stay in the box do not change the odds.

Do the bingos fall spread out across the room or across locations?

Yes, as spread out as the cards are. Every card has the same chance, so a table or location with more players has proportionally more chance of a winner. Nobody can decide in advance where the bingo falls.

Does the playlist have to be on shuffle?

Yes. Play the Spotify playlist in regular shuffle mode, so the songs come in a random order. All the figures on this page are based on that. Do not use Smart Shuffle. It adds songs that are not in the playlist and not on the cards.

How do I check a bingo?

Keep the checklist at hand and tick off every song as soon as it has been played. When someone calls bingo, compare the songs in the row on the card with your checklist. If they have all been played, the bingo is valid.

Which file of our logo do you need?

Preferably an SVG, PDF or EPS. A sharp PNG with a transparent background works too. Send what you have and we will see what gives the best result.

Can you use our own colours and typeface?

Yes. Send us your brand colours, preferably as HEX codes, and tell us which typeface you use. If that typeface is not free to use, we pick one that comes as close as possible.

How fast do we get the design, and can we still change something?

Your draft design is in your inbox within 1 working day. Is something not right yet? Then we adjust it. Only when you are happy do you receive the final bingo cards.

Can we use the design of our own designer?

Yes. Send us the design of your own designer and we turn it into the bingo cards. Good to know: the cards are A4 in portrait format.

How many players can join?

There is no limit. You choose how many unique bingo cards you need at checkout, from a handful for a house party to several hundred for a corporate event. Every card is different, but two players can still call bingo on the same song: the first to call wins, and here is how often that happens. Find out which bingo card size fits your group.

How long does a music bingo game last?

A 48-song game takes about 45 minutes. A 75-song game takes a little over an hour. Most hosts play three rounds within that time: first one horizontal line, then two lines, then a full card. Work out how long your evening will take.

What exactly do I get when I buy a music bingo game?

You get three things, delivered by email within five minutes: a ready-made Spotify playlist with every song in the game, your bingo cards as printable PDFs or digital cards with a unique link and access code per player, and a short how-to guide for hosting.

Music bingo, also called singo, is bingo with songs instead of numbers. Each player gets a card filled with song titles. The host plays short clips from a playlist and players mark off the songs they recognise. The first to complete a line, two lines or the whole card wins.

Do I need a Spotify Premium account?

No. Any free Spotify account works. Premium removes the ads between songs, which most hosts prefer for a smoother game, but it is not required to play.

Can I print the bingo cards myself?

Yes. Choose PDF cards at checkout and you get a print-ready file. Print at home, at the office or at a copy shop. Standard letter and A4 both work, and the cards are designed to stay readable in black and white.

What are the best office party games for large groups?

Music bingo, team trivia, picture quizzes and office bingo work well for large groups because people can play in teams rather than one at a time. Choose an activity with clear rules, a visible score and short rounds. That keeps the room involved without making every person perform.

What are good office party games for remote teams?

Good remote options include music bingo, picture quizzes, team trivia, Pictionary and “would you rather?” questions. Use a video call, screen sharing and a shared answer form where needed. Keep rounds short, explain the rules in the chat and make sure remote colleagues can participate on equal terms.

How do you make office party games less awkward?

Choose games that let people participate in teams or from their seat. Avoid personal questions, forced performances and activities that single out one colleague for too long. Start with a simple round, explain that participation is relaxed and give people useful roles such as scorekeeper or host.

What are quick office party games for a work event?

For a quick activity, try name that tune, two truths and a lie, a picture quiz, “would you rather?” or a short round of office bingo. These games need little equipment and can be finished in ten to fifteen minutes. They are useful before dinner, during a break or between presentations.

Can music bingo work for a company party?

Yes, music bingo works well for a company party because players can take part in teams and recognise songs together. You can use a ready-made playlist for a quick setup or create a custom version around your team, company history or event theme. It works in person and online.

How long does a Singo game night last?

A typical two-to-three round session takes 60 to 90 minutes including setup, breaks, and prize-giving. A single round takes 20 to 30 minutes.

Do I need to be a DJ to host Singo?

Not at all. A phone, Spotify, and a Bluetooth speaker is sufficient for groups up to 30 people. For larger venues, a PA system is recommended but no DJ skills are needed.

What if players dispute a song?

Have a quick rule in place before the game starts: the host's decision is final. If you want to be fair, offer to replay the song once for disputed calls.

Can I charge guests to play Singo?

Yes. Singo works well as a ticketed event. Charge per player or per card. Multiple cards per player increases revenue and player engagement simultaneously.

Can Singo be played online?

Yes. Distribute card PDFs before the call, share your screen or audio on Zoom or Teams, and play normally. Digital Singo has been popular since 2020 and works smoothly with a basic setup.

What's the minimum number of players?

Singo works with as few as four players, though it gets more fun and competitive with 10 or more.

Music Bingo: The Perfect Hitster Alternative for Your Party

Music and games are combined in these two popular options: Hitster and music bingo. Both games are played with music, but they differ significantly from each other. In this blog post, we compare Hitster to music bingo. Discover which game best suits you and your event or game night.

What is Hitster?

Hitster is a game centered around a music timeline. In this game, players need to place songs in the correct chronological order. The goal is to guess the year a song was released and position it on the timeline relative to other songs. The winner is the first player to correctly place ten songs in order. This game requires knowledge of music history, and players must be able to recall both the artists and the years of the songs. It’s perfect for music lovers who enjoy trivia and strategic thinking.

What is music bingo?

On the other hand, we have music bingo, a lighter version of traditional bingo. In this game, numbers are replaced by titles of popular songs. When a song is played, players must mark it off on their bingo cards. The goal is to get a full row or card, and the first player to do so calls out "Bingo!" This game is all about recognizing songs. It’s a great option for a wide audience, from family parties to corporate outings and themed nights.

The difference between Hitster and music bingo

The main differences between Hitster and music bingo lie in the objective and the way the games are played.

Objective: In Hitster, the goal is to correctly place songs in the right order, testing players' knowledge of music history. This requires them to recall the years and artists of various songs. Music Bingo, on the other hand, is simpler; it's all about recognizing songs and marking off boxes on a bingo card. The winner is the first to complete a row or a full card.

Gameplay: In Hitster, players take turns picking a song and placing it on their timeline. The game requires players to think carefully about where to position each song. In contrast, Music Bingo is a group game where songs are played randomly. Players mark off songs on their bingo cards as they hear them.

When to choose music bingo over Hitster?

If you're looking for a game for a party or an event where fun and socializing are the main focus, Music Bingo is probably the better choice. It’s suitable for people of various ages and musical tastes and can easily be adapted to fit the atmosphere of your event.

On the other hand, if you’re after a more strategic challenge with a musical twist, where players need to use their knowledge of music and its history, then Hitster is a great option. It offers depth for music enthusiasts who love trivia and want to compete to find the correct answers.

Both Hitster and music bingo provide an excellent way to combine music with interactive gameplay, but they are suited for different types of events and audiences. While Hitster is perfect for music lovers who enjoy trivia and strategic thinking, Music Bingo is the ideal choice for a quick and accessible activity for any kind of party.

Whatever you choose, a game with music is always a great choice!
